Part of the body of concept work I produced for a third year game project that was sadly cancelled. They needed full colour gameplay concepts for various areas of the playable levels. This was a good opportunity for me to practise painting backgrounds.

First 3rd Year Project Designs
Initially, my plan was to direct a game in my third year, but unfortunately I had to reconsider given that it was too hard to gather a team big enough to accomplish this. These are the original designs for character and environment, for a game where you play as a small dinosaur in a large hostile world.
Design work for James Henry
Towards the latter half of this semester, we have been asked to produce a range of designs for three children's television ideas belonging to writer, James Henry. This was a great opportunity to work to a brief with a real writer, and to help him envisage his ideas. I am pleased with the designs I put forward, though would have liked more time to refine the designs to James Henry's specifications.
Palaeoart
More studies of Mesozoic creatures. Studying the skeletons of these animals is actually very useful when it comes to designing original creatures, especially since they have such varying body shapes and anatomy.

More 3D models
Further practice in 3D modelling in Maya. I feel like I am getting to grips with Mudbox's painting element.
